No Boundaries.
No Boundaries is a running program for women in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. With the 12-week fall program in 2008, Fleet Feet Carrboro hopes to continue to provide women in the area with skilled coaching, weekly group runs, and educational seminars as well as be an avenue for fun, fitness and friendship building.
The goal of No Boundaries is to supply women with the knowledge and skills to become healthier individuals both in body and in mind and spirit. The No Boundaries training program brings like-minded women together in a group setting thus forming a “community” of women who meet each week to work hard, socialize and grow together forming lasting relationships around a common interest in being healthy and active.
While maintaining the strengths of the program, No Boundaries will be adopting new approaches this fall season that we hope will enhance the experience of participants and give back to the community. In exchange for the knowledge, skills and opportunity to be part of a local women’s running community, No Boundaries participants will give something back. A substantial part of the program fees will be diverted and invested in partner communities in developing nations.

The “Beginner’s” group will be renamed Team Lesedi, and will sponsor a school for disabled children in South Africa, a partnership Fleet Feet Carrboro has developed and supported over the years. The “Intermediate” and “Advanced” group, now Team Sakina, will partner with a community in Tanzania, enabling Sakina community members to achieve similar goals of No Boundaries participants: healthy lifestyles, a sense of community, empowerment and sustainability.
Please join us this season as we join together to run for ourselves, for other women in the program and to make possible a healthy lifestyle for those less fortunate than ourselves around the world.
