The goal of Sustain.Sakina is to create partnerships of mutual exchange between individuals in Sakina and Chapel Hill/Carrboro community members.
Currently, Sustain Foundation Partners with two local schools who provide support to the Sakina Scholars. Team Sakina members also provide both monetary and non-monetary support.

Get Involved
If you have…
- 5 minutes: Write an e-mail letter to a scholar (about a day in your life…)
- 10 minutes: Create 20 flashcards of English words with pictures
- 30 minutes: Write letter to Sakina health team about what you do to stay healthy.
- 1 hour: Make a photo album with each picture labeled (A Day in My Life, My Family, What I Do for Fun) Read a book out loud and record on tape, send to Sakina with book for students to practice reading
- $5: Batteries, pencils, paper, paint
- $20: Table for resource room
- $25: Rent for one scholar for one month
- $45 Marker board
