Sustain.Sakina creates mutually beneficial partnerships of exchange between individuals in Sakina and Chapel Hill-Carrboro community members.
Currently, Sustain Foundation partners with Cary Academy and St. Michael the Archangel School,two local schools, who in collaboration with Team Sakina members provide monetary and non-monetary support for
the Sakina Scholars.

Get Involved
If you have…
- 5 minutes: Write an e-mail letter (about a day in your life…)
- 10 minutes: Create 20 flashcards of English words with pictures
- 30 minutes: Write letter to Sakina health team about what you do to stay healthy.
- 1 hour: Make a photo album with each picture labeled (A Day in My Life, My Family, What I Do for Fun...) or read a book out loud, record it on tape, and send it to Sakina with the book for students to practice reading

- $5: Batteries, pencils, paper, paint
- $20: Table for resource room
- $25: Rent for one scholar for one month
- $45 Marker board
